A small military settlement was established then in Taichung suburb about seventy years ago. Its main objective was to provide temporary housing contract service soldiers. Time passed, and the military with their families less often chose this place to stay. When the city began to expand, the first for the demolition was just this piece of land. Veteran Huang Yun Fu was totally disagree with this situation and to hold the remains of people from fleeing, took to paint the streets, depicting television characters, celebrities and everything that fits in with the surrounding landscape.
